HOW TO APPLY
GENERAL PROCEDURES FOR APPLYING

Please be advised that only complete applications submitted before or
by the deadline will be considered for admission.

US Citizens/Residents need to

  1. Complete and submit on-line application form
  2. Pay the application fee ($45)
  3. Submit official *transcripts from all colleges or universities you have attended
  4. Submit official standardized test scores (GRE/GMAT if applicable)
  5. Submit statement of purpose (if applicable)
  6. Submit letters of recommendation (if applicable)
  7. Apply here

International Applicants need to

  1. Complete and submit on-line application form
  2. Pay the application fee ($80)
  3. Submit official *transcripts, diplomas, certificates
  4. Submit official standardized test scores (GRE/GMAT if applicable)
  5. Submit statement of purpose (if applicable)
  6. Submit letters of recommendation (if applicable)
  7. Submit official TOEFL scores (this is an immigration requirement)
  8. Submit confirmation of financial resources
  9. Apply here

*Provisional transcripts are accepted from students who will earn an undergraduate degree before enrolling at UTEP.

Please note that students applying to the Doctor of Physical Therapy, Master of Occupational Therapy, or Master of Speech Pathology will need to apply through a Centralized Application Service. Click here for more info.

APPLYING ONLINE

Online application to one of UTEP’s 78 master's or 20 doctoral programs is easy. The UTEP Graduate School accepts applications year round and the deadlines depend on the semester in which applicants wish to begin their course work. All applicants are recommended to check their prospective departments for deadline dates and special entry requirements such as GRE, GMAT, TOEFL, PTE or IELTS exams. The online application asks for detailed information on candidates’ academic background. Before scrolling down to start the application process candidates should make sure they have the following documents at hand:
